How can you use this model?

A great start is to discuss the 10 elements together. How well do you rate yourself for each element? What are you already great at? Where is space for improvement? Pick one action and focus on that one for the coming weeks. Whatever action you choose, it will always have a ripple effect, and impact the other elements as well!

Hello! My name is Lieke and I’m the founder of Unlockyourpotential.

For the past 15 years, I have worked in a wide variety of contexts: Afghanistan, Yemen, Iraq, CAR, South Sudan and many more. However different all these contexts may be, they have one thing in common: people everywhere are capable of incredible things when they experience a deep connection with each other and when they experience joy.

For this reason, people management is not about applying tools; it is all about the connection you create and nurture with the people you work with.

Teams are not just about putting unique individuals together and giving the job roles; it is about the connection these members feel between them that creates that magic spark from which new ideas arise.

Communication is not just about speaking words; it is all about the connection you create with the people you speak with.
