Unlockyourpotential’s approach to training
All Unlockyourpotential’s trainings and workshops are highly interactive and follow the experiential learning cycle and adult learning principles.
This means that the existing experience of the participants will drive the content; there is ample time for self-reflection; and bridges are created between what people will learn and how they can integrate these new ideas and tools into their existing practices.
During the training or workshop, we adapt to what is happening in the (virtual) training room and the specific needs of the participants. This means that the proposed content and flow of the training may change depending on the actual interaction during the training sessions.
The training will bring a mix of humour, true human connection, and a focus on people’s unique strengths as the basis to work from. It is this combination that lowers the barriers to learning and helps to create an effect that lasts beyond the duration of the workshop.
Types of trainings
People Management
As manager of a team you have many balls to juggle: contributing to the organsiational objectives, creating a great team dynamic, and empowering the individuals in your team. Easier said than done, as each individual is unique and may have different needs! It can also by times feel lonely as there is only one of you in the team. With a People Management Training, we aim to make People Management easier and more joyful. How? By providing you with tools and ideas that you can easily integrate into your day-to-day work. And by offering you a space to pause and reflect on past challenges and successes, so you can feel more confident on how to move ahead.
The training will always be designed according to the participants’ needs. Topics that can be included are: how to juggle the different roles as a manager, empowering communication, team dynamics, coaching skills for managers, managing your time and prioritiies, building trust, sharing feedback, and more.
Review
Lieke consistently places the needs of participants at the core of her approach. She goes the extra mile to ensure that each training is not just a learning experience but a tailored journey that addresses the needs of the various participants. She creates a learning environment that enables trust and connection. Lieke understands that true value lies not just in the training room but in the successful integration and development of skills in the everyday work.

I had the immense chance to do a People Management Training with Lieke and I preciously benefit from it daily! There is a lot of self-reflection and tools to manage ourselves with the others, regardless the hierarchical link we have with them.
I still keep this training in my heart. It was such a gift from the Universe that I think that each human being in our organisation should access this training.

Empowering Communication
Even when we don’t speak, we always communicate; with our body, our facial expressions, our energy. The fact that we all speak the same language, does not mean that we are using that language in the same way. We always infuse our (un)spoken communication with our – often subconscious – personal values, personalities and cultural backgrounds. Therefore, the way we communicate can either be incredibly empowering or quite a source for conflict. How to make sure that we actually understand each other when we speak to each other? How to make sure that the way we communicate is empowering for others and for ourselves?
In a training on Empowering Communication you will discover the main pitfalls in communication and how to overcome them. Depending on the duration of the training, it will include topics such as: intercultural communication, how personal values shape our communication, exchanging feedback, communication preferences, and basic coaching skills.
Training of Trainers
Would you like to learn how to develop- and deliver a training session or workshop that truly translates into actual learning and outcomes? In a Training of Trainers/Facilitators you will be both a participant and trainer. You will learn how to create a learning experience that lasts beyond the duration of the training itself. Topics include adult learning, dealing with challenging dynamics, communicating in an international setting, creating safe learning spaces, interactive methodologies and more.
Review
It was surprisingly interactive, and very effective in terms of learning. I enjoyed the mood and the flow. I liked the way the trainers developed activities and dynamics that integrated all the participants, creating a safe space of learning and a nice flow and energy. Thank you very much, you rock 🙂

If you decide to invest in organizing a training for your organization, you want to make sure that the learning continues beyond the training room. It is for this reason that I’ll not come with a ready-made training package but will always first listen to your needs and challenges before proposing content. Therefore, we will always have an initial meeting in which you can share your identified needs and in which we can discuss the duration, topics, key messages, and modality.
